In a lot of cases, the best sound design is the sound you don’t even notice. It feels normal. It feels right. And sometimes it feels deeply uncanny valley. What is it? That’s sound design.
Sometimes sound design comes from a signal pushed through an oscillator in a series of shapes, crafting and whirling until the perfect sound is created from pure electricity. Other times, it comes from lurking suspiciously outside a bar with a big fluffy wombat over a shotgun mic.
Either way, sound design is critical to almost every execution that needs audio, and Bear ex Machina has you covered. Radio sounds, TV sounds, film sounds, podcast sounds. Just ask.
Imagine yourself in outer space. Or as a superspy. Or watching a femme fatale walking into a bar. From foley to atmo, here is where I put ProTools, Ableton and the wombat to work.
