Row has spent a literal adult lifetime collaborating with musicians and songwriters to tell stories (mostly for ads, sometimes for art). Now, she’s got the piano in front of her and is running her own show. Music is in every facet of her life and is her single most passionate piece, and she’s in creative mode.
But Row doesn’t walk the composition road alone! She’s a part of the Fight Night Records family and can often be found at FNR HQ in Collingwood, just down the hall from the iconic Aviary studios.
Identical twins Harley and Delaney Stewart are long-time collaborators with Bear ex Machina, and have made their name with a sound that feels like a blend of Morricone-driven spaghetti westerns with a wisp of Lana Del Rey.
And Row’s tastes and compositions swerve a bit darker, harder, and a bit more cyber-digital.
For original compositions, regardless of the mood, Row works with an incredible cohort of songwriters and pro musos who have been seen on the stages of Triple J Like A Version, tour like Trojans, write, and have serious chops. Just tell her what you need.
Row has her paws all over these tracks. Sometimes it’s a project brief, and sometimes she writes with a beating heart. Here’s where to hear some of Bear ex Machina’s composition outputs.
